AutoStarter is a small background-only application to perform several tasks every day. These tasks are:
• Start applications automatically at predefined times
• Stop applications automatically at predefined times
• Interrupt applications automatically at predefined times (stop them at
one time and start them again at a second time if they were running in
the beginning)
• Mount remote volumes automatically at predefined times
This may be especially useful for automated backups on remote volumes.
To perform these tasks AutoStarter uses a database and checks the entries in predefined time intervalls. If this intervall is not too small (i.e. larger than 10 seconds) the amount of CPU time AutoStarter needs is very small (only a few seconds per day).
The database used is HDS which is an other shareware product from the same author. The database may be maintained directly with the HDS Monitor or, more comfortable, with the supplied HyperCard stack “Schedules.stk”. The HyperCard stack uses the HDS-HyperCard interface “HDSLib” which is also included in this package.

AutoStarter (including this documentation) is copyrighted material. AutoStarter is shareware. You may test AutoStarter for a reasonable time (i.e. 30 days).
